Workshops and Meetings for
2017 Appliance Efficiency Standards Rulemaking for Computers and Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Lamps

Docket # 17-AAER-15

November 8, 2017
The California Energy Commission will consider the possible adoption of regulations for computers and light-emitting diode (LED) lamps at its November 8, 2017, business meeting. The proposed regulations will modify existing appliance efficiency regulations for computers to create a new allowance for a discrete graphics processing unit (GPU) that is packaged on the same substrate as the central processing unit (CPU), make minor modifications to several definitions to better represent computers in the market, and allow manufacturers to report estimated LED lamp lifetime pending completion of lifetime testing.
