DRIVING TO CLEANER TRANSPORTATION
JOHN L. SULLIVAN WORKFORCE TRAINING

John L. Sullivan is working to support sales of vehicles powered by alternative, renewable fuels through improved sales and service training.

To help improve air quality in the communities it serves, John L. Sullivan Chevrolet is training its sales and service staff in Placer and Alameda counties to encourage purchases of vehicles powered by alternative, renewable fuels.

Using a $23,220 grant awarded by the California Energy Commission in December 2016, John L. Sullivan will train 58 employees in the sale, maintenance, and service of vehicles powered by alternative, renewable fuels - including sedans, SUVs, and small and heavy-duty trucks.

The training will better equip staff to educate consumers about the alternatives to conventionally-powered vehicles. It will also improve service and maintenance of vehicles powered by alternative, renewable fuels. Previous training of this kind significantly increased sales of alternative fuel-powered vehicles.
