Appliance Efficiency Standards Rulemaking for Portable Electric Spas and Battery Chargers

Docket # 18-AAER-02

The California Energy Commission will consider the possible adoption of regulations for portable electric spas and battery chargers at its April 11, 2018, business meeting. The proposed regulations modify existing appliance efficiency regulations for portable electric spas to clarify the scope, update the performance standard, update the test procedure, and add a labeling requirement. The proposed regulations also modify the battery charger marking requirements to require a "BC" mark only for state-regulated battery chargers.
