International Activities

The Energy Commission knows it is essential to cooperate with other countries and jurisdictions interested in addressing complex energy issues and global climate change. California currently has multiple partnerships, initiatives, and memorandums of understanding throughout the world. These agreements represent a formal declaration between countries, states, provinces, and cities to develop energy conservation policies, use cleaner energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Such an agreement is a symbol of mutual goodwill thereby encouraging bilateral cooperation.
