Welcome to the California Energy Commission’s Website

The Energy Commission has spent many months creating this total make-over of our website. We hope that you find it attractive and easy to use. You'll notice that there have been many changes to the structure. So some of your browser bookmarks may no longer be functional.

Some new features include a brand-new, interactive calendar; more robust list server software; easier-to-navigate pull-down menus at the top of most pages; and improved accessibility for those with visual disabilities. Over the next few months, we'll also be adding a photo gallery with public domain photos; RSS feeds for both new items on line and Commission news releases; and additional databases on power plants, our research program, and appliances.

Two other new things have taken place with this change-over:

  1. We are in the process of moving all our data and statistics pages to a new website called the California Energy Almanac. That site is still under construction, but we hope to complete it by the end of July.
  2. We've moved old, closed proceedings and older information off our main website to our Energy Commission Archive.
